Anvil Grip

The Rogue Anvil Grip is a solid, machined-steel cone-shaped grip implement built as a modern take on the classic strongman test of lifting a blacksmith’s anvil by its horn. It measures 13.5” from the tip of the cone to the eye-bolt at its base, tapering from a 3” diameter at the base down to 0.75” at the top, and weighs 12.33 lbs unloaded (about 17.6 lbs with a loading pin attached). A carabiner and standard loading pin let you attach any weight plates already in your gym, so the same implement scales from a light warm-up grip test to a max-effort lift.

It’s machined and assembled at Rogue’s Columbus, Ohio headquarters from solid steel, and ships in either a Raw (bare steel) or Black Oxide finish — the bare-steel version develops a patina over time and needs occasional oiling to fend off rust, while Black Oxide holds up with less upkeep. As a dedicated grip/strongman implement it’s a narrow-purpose accessory rather than an everyday training tool, but for anyone chasing serious grip strength it’s a durable, no-frills way to do it.
