Following a long line of concepts introduced by Eleiko on April 1st, the Heavy Mug was originally conceived as a playful idea connected to our mission and our industrial heritage working with steel. This significant mug at 8.5 kg (18.7 lbs) transformed into a real, physical product in response to our community's expressed desires. Produced in Halmstad, Sweden, just like our world-famous barbells, the Eleiko Heavy Mug proved to be an idea that spurred the community's passion for training and becoming stronger.

This is the catch-all for the conditioning tools and accessories that don’t fit a single equipment class — weighted vests and plate carriers, medicine and slam balls, plyo boxes, ab mats, and the odds and ends that round out a garage gym. Items land here because their job (loaded carries, jumps, core work) cuts across the categories rather than sitting neatly inside one.

Who it’s for

Anyone filling in the gaps around the big pieces. If you already have a rack, bar, and plates, this is where you find the vest for rucking and weighted push-ups, the ball for slams and wall throws, or the box for step-ups and box jumps. The Eleiko Heavy Mug is an 8.5 kg (18.74 lb) stainless-steel object that began as an April Fool’s joke and ended up as one of the most-wanted collectibles in home-gym culture — and it should be judged as a collectible, not as gear. Build quality is the standout: it is machined in Halmstad, Sweden, on the same line as Eleiko’s competition barbells, with 2.5 cm of solid steel wall and a knurled handle that both first-hand reviewers compare to Eleiko’s own bar knurl. Functionality is the weakest dimension by a wide margin — Eleiko’s product sheet states outright that it is “not safe for food or beverage consumption” and “not safe for dishwashers,” CEO Erik Blomberg conceded on record that it is “extremely difficult to drink from,” and owners put the usable volume at roughly 3–4 oz. Two 2023 drops produced about 300 units total and Eleiko has confirmed no further production, so this cannot be bought new at any price; the only live alternatives are the far larger 22 oz Rogue Artillery Mug & Anvil and the US-made JD Gym Equipped stainless heavy mug.
