Hip Circle Max

The Hip Circle Max (also listed as the Hip Circle 2.0) is Mark Bell Sling Shot’s highest-resistance fabric hip band, built from stiffer material than the brand’s original Hip Circle for lifters who’ve outgrown that level of tension. Worn above the knees, it’s used for dynamic hip/glute warm-ups and to cue proper knee positioning during squats and deadlifts – it can be worn during the warm-up alone or kept on through the working sets themselves. The band is natural rubber latex fully enclosed in a polyester covering, so the latex doesn’t contact skin, and is built to resist snapping, rolling, or irritation. It ships in M/L/XL sizing (by bodyweight) and includes three full lower-body workouts with video tutorials and a downloadable PDF program.

Sizes M (under 150 lb), L (151-230 lb), XL (over 230 lb)

What is a Miscellaneou?

What’s in Miscellaneous

This is the catch-all for the conditioning tools and accessories that don’t fit a single equipment class — weighted vests and plate carriers, medicine and slam balls, plyo boxes, ab mats, and the odds and ends that round out a garage gym. Items land here because their job (loaded carries, jumps, core work) cuts across the categories rather than sitting neatly inside one.

Who it’s for

Anyone filling in the gaps around the big pieces. If you already have a rack, bar, and plates, this is where you find the vest for rucking and weighted push-ups, the ball for slams and wall throws, or the box for step-ups and box jumps. Match the tool to the training you actually do — a plate carrier for conditioning and rucking, plyo boxes for explosive work — rather than buying the whole shelf.

The Hip Circle Max is Mark Bell Sling Shot’s stiffest hip band, built for lifters who’ve outgrown the standard Hip Circle’s resistance. The available signal leans positive – GymRadar (4.67/5) and Rogue Fitness’s buyer reviews (4.6/5) both trend high, though both samples are small and no fully independent editorial review of the Max specifically (as opposed to the original Hip Circle) turned up. Functionality is the clear standout: it does exactly what it’s designed for, cueing knees outward on squats and deadlifts. Durability is the weakest-evidenced dimension – one buyer reported the band hitting a hard range-of-motion “wall” rather than stretching progressively, and there’s no long-term independent testing of this specific stiffness level.

  • +Functionality: cues knees outward and reinforces proper squat/deadlift positioning during warm-ups and lifts (manufacturer, Rogue Fitness)
  • +Build quality: natural rubber latex fully enclosed in a polyester covering so latex doesn't contact skin, resisting snapping, rolling, and irritation (Perform Better, manufacturer)
  • +Value: $25 manufacturer price with three bundled workout videos and a PDF program included
  • +Versatility: works as a dynamic warm-up tool and can also be worn during the lift itself to hold knee positioning (manufacturer)
  • Durability: one Rogue Fitness buyer reported the Max hits a hard range-of-motion "wall" rather than a progressive stretch, with no independent long-term testing of this SKU to corroborate or refute it
  • Versatility: fixed single maximum-resistance level per size -- no way to dial down tension without buying a different Hip Circle tier
  • Build quality: the fuller independent write-ups available (Garage Gym Reviews, Get Your Gainz) reviewed the softer original Hip Circle rather than the Max, so there's no fully independent hands-on account of this exact stiffness
