MBPC Super Block

The MBPC Super Block may not be as large and imposing as our Big Open Block, but it has a few secrets under it’s lid. The Super Block exhibits the same superior strength, durability and quality as the Big Open Block, but it features a more compact design and a lid. We combined expert MBPC craftsmanship with 130lbs of American steel to create a block that can handle our incredibly strong MBPC customer base. When you spend your days building equipment for physically superior humans, superior quality is the only option. We offer a .250” and .375” wall option. Both options are incredibly strong and have unique advantages. The .250” wall allows for a lighter starting weight for warmups and will accommodate smaller athletes. With a heavier starting weight, the .375” option allows for a higher top-end loading capacity.

What is a Strongman?

Strongman equipment trains raw, functional strength through odd-object lifting, carrying, and loading — atlas stones, yokes, farmer’s handles, sleds, logs, and tires — rather than the fixed, balanced resistance of a barbell. It’s a fit for lifters who’ve plateaued on conventional strength training and want to build the grip, bracing, and full-body coordination that competition strongman and functional fitness demand, or who simply want the most direct training carryover to real-world lifting and carrying tasks. Most pieces are bulky and some (tires, natural stones) are sourced or repurposed rather than bought outright, so plan for storage space and, in a few cases, DIY sourcing as part of owning this equipment.
