The Monster Single Post Storage Shelf is Rogue’s bolt-on plate and kettlebell shelf for an existing Monster Series rack or rig. A single Monster bolt assembly per side secures the shelf directly to one upright, so it adds storage without any extra floor footprint. It’s built from 2x2”, 0.125”-thick steel rails and 0.25” laser-cut steel endplates finished in MG Black powdercoat, and comes in three widths (30”, 43”, 70”) and two shelf styles – a bumper/medball shelf and a kettlebell shelf, the latter compatible with optional rubber liners. Owners describe the build as overbuilt and solid even after a year of use; the main functional gripe is that the mounting bolt protrudes into the shelf’s depth, so the last plate or two won’t sit fully flush and usable capacity runs a bit under the shelf’s rated size.

What is a Storage?

What gym storage is

Storage keeps a home gym safe, tidy, and usable: weight-plate trees and pegs, barbell holders (vertical or horizontal), dumbbell and kettlebell shelves, and wall or rack-mounted organizers. Loose plates and bars on the floor are a trip-and-damage hazard; storage reclaims space and protects your equipment.

What to consider

Match storage to what you own (plate diameter, number of bars, dumbbell count) and your space — wall-mounted units and rack-hung storage save floor area, while free-standing trees move easily. Check the weight capacity and, for wall units, that you can anchor into studs.

Rogue’s Monster Single Post Storage Shelf is a no-frills add-on for an existing Monster rack: 2x2” 0.125” steel rails and 0.25” laser-cut endplates that bolt to a single upright in bumper/medball or kettlebell configurations across three widths. Build quality is the standout – owners across Rogue’s own reviews and an independent YouTube teardown describe it as overbuilt and “monstrously” solid even after a year of daily use. The weakest dimension is functionality: the single Monster bolt that secures the shelf to the upright protrudes into the shelf’s usable depth, so the last plate or two won’t seat flush and effective capacity runs a bit under the shelf’s rated size – a complaint echoed by both the manufacturer’s own reviewers and an independent reviewer who otherwise rates it positively.

  • +Build quality: 0.25" laser-cut steel endplates and 0.125"-thick 2x2" rails feel "monstrously overbuilt and flawless" after a year of use (Rogue Fitness)
  • +Functionality: mounts directly to an existing Monster rack upright with a single bolt assembly per side and included hardware, no extra floor footprint (Rogue Fitness; YouTube: Jimmy Nixon)
  • +Versatility: three widths (30"/43"/70") and two shelf styles (bumper/medball, kettlebell) cover most plate and kettlebell storage needs, with optional rubber liners for the kettlebell version (Rogue Fitness)
  • +Value: at $100 for a bolt-on steel shelf that saves floor space, owners describe it as "sturdy" and worth the built-in storage it frees up (Rogue Fitness)
  • Functionality: the mounting bolt that secures the shelf to the upright sticks up into the shelf's load area, so the last plate or two can't seat flush and usable capacity runs under the shelf's rated size (YouTube: Jimmy Nixon; Rogue Fitness)
  • Build quality: open tube ends have no end caps, which one owner specifically wished Rogue included (Rogue Fitness)
  • Durability: no independent long-term (multi-year) coverage beyond Rogue's own one-year owner report -- little third-party data yet
  • Value: a facility-manager reviewer flagged unclear medicine-ball capacity descriptions and pricing disparities versus other Monster storage accessories (Rogue Fitness)
