Ghost Strong
Ghost Roller J-Cup
The James 2 is Oak Club Mfg’s second-generation sandwich j-cup, a from-scratch redesign of their original James Hook aimed at trimming its bulk while keeping the dual-sided UHMW protection that made the line stand out. Fully welded from 1/4” and 3/8” steel, it mounts UHMW on both the barbell- and rack-facing sides and uses flush-mounted cap-screw hardware throughout, eliminating the protruding bolts found on many competing sandwich cups. An optional magnetic MagPin locks the cup in place to eliminate side-to-side sway during barbell adjustment. It fits 3”x3” rack posts with 1” hardware and 2” hole spacing, and is handmade in Canada and sold in pairs. Independent reviewers consistently praise the build quality and barbell protection, with price – especially once the optional MagPins are added – the most common hesitation.

Rack attachments bolt or pin onto a power rack or squat stand to expand what it can do — J-cups and safety arms/straps (the essentials), plus dip bars, a landmine, a lat pulldown, weight-plate storage, roller J-cups, and more. They turn a rack into a whole gym.
An attachment must match your rack’s upright size (2x2, 2x3, or 3x3) and hole pattern/hardware (e.g. 5/8-in vs 1-in holes, Westside spacing). Attachments are usually series-specific — a Monster Lite J-cup won’t fit an Echo upright — so confirm the fit before buying.

The James 2 is Oak Club’s second-generation sandwich j-cup, a from-scratch redesign of their original James Hook that trims the bulk while keeping its signature dual-sided UHMW protection. Its standout dimension is build quality: fully welded 1/4”-3/8” steel construction, UHMW mounted on both the barbell- and rack-facing sides, and flush-mounted hardware throughout that eliminates the protruding bolts reviewers flag on older Rogue and So-Ill sandwich cups. Its weakest dimension is value – every independent source, from GymRadar’s 3.67/5 value sub-score to Reddit’s “not cheap” consensus, flags the price as the main hesitation, especially once the optional anti-sway MagPins (a roughly $90 add-on) are factored in.
