SQUAT WEDGE | SOLOS (Pair)

The PRIME Squat Wedge SOLOS is a pair of independently rotating steel heel wedges designed to reduce the effects of limited ankle, knee, or hip mobility during squats. Unlike a traditional fixed-angle wedge, each wedge in the pair rotates externally to match a lifter’s own natural foot angle, letting the hips open while keeping the knees tracking directly over the toes – coaches highlight this as the key advantage over single-wedge designs, which tend to push the knee inward on a wide stance. Built from steel with a forged tread and gritty powder-coat finish, the pair is sold at a single angle per set, available in 10-, 20-, or 30-degree inclines, and is part of PRIME’s wider squat-wedge family sized at 30” wide to accommodate narrow and wide stances alike.
Width 30" (PRIME squat-wedge family spec)
Design Each wedge externally rotates to match the lifter's natural foot angle
Sold as Pair (two independently rotating wedges)
Material Steel with forged tread, gritty powder-coat finish
Angle options 10°, 20°, or 30° (one angle per pair)

What is a Miscellaneou?

What’s in Miscellaneous

This is the catch-all for the conditioning tools and accessories that don’t fit a single equipment class — weighted vests and plate carriers, medicine and slam balls, plyo boxes, ab mats, and the odds and ends that round out a garage gym. Items land here because their job (loaded carries, jumps, core work) cuts across the categories rather than sitting neatly inside one.

Who it’s for

Anyone filling in the gaps around the big pieces. If you already have a rack, bar, and plates, this is where you find the vest for rucking and weighted push-ups, the ball for slams and wall throws, or the box for step-ups and box jumps. Match the tool to the training you actually do — a plate carrier for conditioning and rucking, plyo boxes for explosive work — rather than buying the whole shelf.

The PRIME Squat Wedge SOLOS is a pair of independently rotating steel heel wedges built to overcome ankle, knee, and hip mobility limits during squats without forcing a fixed foot angle. Independent signal is thin but consistently strong: GymRadar’s small owner sample, a sports-medicine product review, and two coaching breakdowns from N1 Education all praise the design, with the coaching videos specifically demonstrating why letting each wedge rotate to match a lifter’s natural stance beats a traditional single wedge for depth and knee stability. Functionality and versatility stand out — the ability to individualize each foot’s angle is the entire premise of the product and every source that discusses it agrees it delivers — while durability is the weakest-documented dimension, with the manufacturer’s own review widget the only source to flag warping after roughly two years of heavy use.
  • +Functionality: independently rotating wedges let each foot match its natural angle, keeping knees tracking over the toes instead of caving in like a fixed-angle wedge (YouTube: N1 Education, both videos)
  • +Versatility: N1 Education calls the Solos setup "by far the best squatting experience" and the top choice for maximizing an individual lifter's depth and hip flexion (YouTube: N1 Education)
  • +Functionality: reduces the effects of limited ankle, knee, and hip mobility across squatting, lunging, deceleration, and calf-loading work (YouTube: Dr. Josh Funk)
  • +Build quality: steel construction with forged tread and a gritty powder-coat finish holds up to heavy repeated use ("heavy duty," "maintains its quality" — YouTube: Dr. Josh Funk; manufacturer)
  • +Value: manufacturer's own review sample (8 reviews) skews strongly positive at 88% five-star (manufacturer)
  • Durability: one manufacturer-site reviewer reported the steel becoming uneven/warped after about two years of use (manufacturer)
  • Functionality: no independent editorial review exists for this specific SKU — coverage is limited to owner/coaching videos and a small GymRadar sample (knowledge base)
  • Value: at $115 for a single-angle pair, outfitting a gym across multiple angles (10°/20°/30°) is a real added cost (manufacturer)
