The Swan Neck is Fringe Sport’s rotating storage/attachment bracket for the Mammoth belt squat arm. It bolts to a 1”-hole rack upright (or wall-mounts to a stud) and lets the Mammoth swing free or lock at a handful of angles – in-line with the rack for normal use, off to the side for belt-squatting around obstacles, or fully upright against the rack for compact storage when it’s not in use. A single detent/pop pin controls both the swivel and the lock.

Independent coverage is limited to one dedicated expert review (The Jungle Gym Reviews), which frames it as a clever solution to the Mammoth’s storage problem – elongated bolt holes fit both metric and imperial rack spacing, and the off-axis swing genuinely helps in tight garage-gym layouts. The same review’s main criticism is mechanical: the detent pin that makes the swivel work also introduces play, producing a visible wobble under load that the simpler hitch-pin base Mammoth doesn’t have. Once bolted on it isn’t meant for quick removal, so it suits a dedicated rack post rather than a rack that needs the space back often.

What is a Rack Attachment?

What rack attachments are

Rack attachments bolt or pin onto a power rack or squat stand to expand what it can do — J-cups and safety arms/straps (the essentials), plus dip bars, a landmine, a lat pulldown, weight-plate storage, roller J-cups, and more. They turn a rack into a whole gym.

Compatibility comes first

An attachment must match your rack’s upright size (2x2, 2x3, or 3x3) and hole pattern/hardware (e.g. 5/8-in vs 1-in holes, Westside spacing). Attachments are usually series-specific — a Monster Lite J-cup won’t fit an Echo upright — so confirm the fit before buying.

The Swan Neck turns Fringe Sport’s Mammoth belt squat arm into an upright, swing-away storage bracket – lockable in-line with the rack or free to swivel 180-plus degrees off-axis, and it can wall-mount instead of rack-mount. Versatility is the standout: elongated bolt holes fit both metric and imperial 1” racks, and the swivel lets you belt-squat off to the side of a crowded rack rather than only straight-on. Build quality is the weakest dimension – the same detent pin that makes the swivel useful also introduces play, and the reviewer noted visible wobble under load that isn’t present on the base Mammoth’s simpler hitch-pin mount. Once bolted on it’s meant to stay put (about a minute to install, not a quick-release), so it suits a dedicated rack post more than a gym that needs the space back often.

  • +Versatility: swivels more than 180 degrees and locks at multiple angles (in-line, 45°, 90°), letting you belt-squat off to the side of the rack instead of only straight-on (YouTube: The Jungle Gym Reviews)
  • +Functionality: elongated bolt holes fit both metric and imperial 1" rack uprights, and it doubles as an integrated upright storage mount for the Mammoth arm (YouTube: The Jungle Gym Reviews)
  • +Versatility: can wall-mount to a stud instead of rack-mount, useful for gyms that want the Mammoth off the rack entirely (YouTube: The Jungle Gym Reviews)
  • +Value: at $149 ($169 with a 5/8" magpin) it's a cheaper way to solve Mammoth storage than upgrading to a permanently-fixed system (Fringe Sport product page)
  • Build quality: the detent pin's swivel/lock mechanism introduces noticeable play -- the reviewer could visibly wobble the loaded arm side to side (YouTube: The Jungle Gym Reviews)
  • Functionality: only fits 1" hole racks or wall mounting, not the 5/8" racks the base Mammoth also supports (Fringe Sport product page)
  • Build quality: takes about a minute to bolt on and isn't designed for quick removal, so committing to it means dedicating a rack post rather than swapping it in and out like the base hitch-pin mount (YouTube: The Jungle Gym Reviews)
  • Durability: only one independent review exists (from a single channel, across two videos of the same session), no GymRadar or community data to confirm how the swivel holds up over time
