30 D-Handle Bar Cable Attachment with Carabiners

Bells of Steel’s 30” D-Handle Bar is a fully-welded steel cable attachment built for micro-adjusting the width, angle, and range of motion of D-handles, nylon handles, and tricep ropes (each sold separately). Twenty-five carabiner holes on each side let you set attachments as little as 0.5” apart, and each handle rotates independently so wrists and elbows move through a more natural path than a fixed lat-pulldown bar allows – useful for neutral-grip pulldowns, rows, and (via the open center hole) landmine T-bar rows with a barbell slid through the sleeve. It ships fully assembled in a black powder coat finish, weighs about 5.25 lb, and includes two carabiners for direct attachment to a cable machine’s pulleys.

Warranty Limited lifetime

What is a Cable Attachment?

What cable attachments are

Cable attachments are the handles and bars that clip to a cable machine, functional trainer, or lat/row station to change the exercise — lat bars, triceps ropes, single-D handles, row/close-grip handles, ankle straps, and more. A small set of them turns one cable stack into dozens of movements.

What to look for

A rotating swivel or ball-bearing joint keeps the cable from twisting and lets the handle track your arm; comfortable, durable grips (knurled metal, rubber, or coated nylon) survive heavy use; and a standard carabiner or snap fits most machines. Match the attachment to the exercises you actually train rather than buying a giant kit you won’t use.

A simple, well-executed cable attachment: two independently rotating D-handles on a 30” bar with 25 carabiner holes per side, letting you dial in width from a narrow neutral-grip pulldown to a wide row in half-inch steps. Its standout dimension is value — a fully-welded, heavy-gauge steel build with a clean powder coat finish for under $80, which an independent hands-on reviewer called a better feel in the hand than pricier attachments. The weakest dimension is durability evidence: the powder coat is expected to show wear where carabiners rub, and no reviewer has yet published a long-term follow-up, so how it holds up after months of use is still unverified.

  • +Value: fully-welded heavy steel construction with a clean powder coat finish for under $80, undercutting pricier attachments the reviewer says feel cheaper in hand (The Bar Gym Reviews, YouTube)
  • +Functionality: independently rotating D-handles let wrists and elbows move through a natural path, reducing shoulder/elbow strain versus a fixed lat-pulldown bar (The Bar Gym Reviews, YouTube)
  • +Versatility: 25 carabiner holes per side in 0.5" increments plus a landmine-compatible center hole cover neutral-grip pulldowns, rows, and landmine T-bar rows with one attachment (Bells of Steel product page; The Bar Gym Reviews, YouTube)
  • +Build quality: arrives fully assembled as one welded piece with smooth edges and no shipping marring, feeling "built like a tank" (The Bar Gym Reviews, YouTube)
  • Durability: powder coat is expected to show wear and chipping where carabiners rub, and no reviewer has published a long-term (30+ day) follow-up yet (Bells of Steel product page; The Bar Gym Reviews, YouTube)
  • Value: D-handles and tricep ropes are sold separately, so unlocking the attachment's full versatility costs more than the bar's own price (Bells of Steel product page)
  • Functionality: the rounded profile makes it a poor substitute for a flat-bar tricep pushdown attachment (The Bar Gym Reviews, YouTube)
  • Rating: independent coverage is thin — one hands-on video review and a 4-review GymRadar aggregate — so the verdict rests on less data than a flagship product would have
