30" GymPin D-Handle Bar

The 30” GymPin D-Handle Bar is a UK-made cable machine attachment built around a simple idea: instead of buying a separate bar for every grip width or angle, you clip any carabinered D-handle or unilateral attachment into one of 13 holes drilled along each side, spaced 1” apart for a 5”-29” grip range. The attached handles rotate freely through the pull, letting wrists and elbows travel a more natural path on lat pulldowns, rows, curls, pushdowns, and pullovers – and because a single pulley can drive two rotating handles at once, it also covers bilateral cable work. It’s CNC machined from 8mm (LITE) or 10mm (PRO) steel, weighs about 2kg in the 30” length, and folds flat for storage. It does not include carabiners or D-handles, which have to be sourced separately to use it.

What is a Cable Attachment?

What cable attachments are

Cable attachments are the handles and bars that clip to a cable machine, functional trainer, or lat/row station to change the exercise — lat bars, triceps ropes, single-D handles, row/close-grip handles, ankle straps, and more. A small set of them turns one cable stack into dozens of movements.

What to look for

A rotating swivel or ball-bearing joint keeps the cable from twisting and lets the handle track your arm; comfortable, durable grips (knurled metal, rubber, or coated nylon) survive heavy use; and a standard carabiner or snap fits most machines. Match the attachment to the exercises you actually train rather than buying a giant kit you won’t use.

Independent reviewers consistently rate the GymPin 30” D-Handle Bar highly, and versatility is the clear standout: 13 holes per side let you clip any carabinered D-handle to whatever grip width an exercise calls for, while the handles rotate through the pull for a more natural wrist and elbow path. Build quality is solid CNC-machined steel with no reported failures, though durability data is thin since the longest-tenured reviewer has only a few months of use. Value is the weakest dimension – the bar ships without carabiners or D-handles, so real setup cost runs higher than the sticker price, and a couple of reviewers flag the constant carabiner swapping between exercises as tedious.

  • +Versatility: 13 holes per side, 1"-29" grip range, works with any carabinered D-handle or unilateral attachment (King of the Gym)
  • +Functionality: handles rotate through the pull, giving a more natural wrist/elbow path on lat pulldowns, rows, and curls (Grey Wolf Fitness, King of the Gym)
  • +Build quality: CNC-machined steel (LITE 8mm / PRO 10mm), ~2kg, no sharp edges, no reported failures (manufacturer, King of the Gym)
  • +Functionality: reviewers recommend it as a way to keep home-gym cable training varied without buying several dedicated bars (Garage Gym Life Media, King of the Gym)
  • Value: ships without carabiners or D-handles -- both must be bought separately, adding to the real cost (Garage Gym Life Media)
  • Functionality: frequent carabiner attach/detach between exercises is tedious (King of the Gym)
  • Functionality: handle drop may sit too low for seated lat pulldowns; 29" is the max grip width (King of the Gym)
  • Durability: longest-tenured independent review covers only a few months of use, so long-term wear is unverified (Garage Gym Life Media)
