Aperture Engineering’s Spotter Arm Protectors shield the exposed metal ends of a power rack’s spotter/safety arms from the bar-on-steel contact that otherwise dings barbell knurling and leaves a sharp, unprotected edge at exactly the height where bars, knees, and stray limbs meet it. They’re made from a purpose-built “TOUGH” material formulation designed to hold up under repeated heavy loads, and also serve as a resting point for lever-arm and jammer-arm attachments. Installation is tool-free: the protector slips over the top of the spotter arm and a small notch snaps into a hole on the underside to lock it in place, and it can be removed just as easily. Sold as a pair (typically with 2 strips of 3M VHB tape), the line is molded specifically per rack model rather than sold as one universal fit – Aperture makes versions for Rogue Fitness (Monster, Monster Lite/SAML-24, Infinity, Ghost Combo Rack HD), REP Fitness (PR-4000, PR-5000), Titan Fitness (TITAN Series, X-3 V2, T-3 V2), Griffin Fitness GR3, Sorinex Half Safety Bars, PRx Profile One, Fringe Sport 2x2, and Surplus Strength Stealth, in several colors including high-visibility options.

Rack attachments bolt or pin onto a power rack or squat stand to expand what it can do — J-cups and safety arms/straps (the essentials), plus dip bars, a landmine, a lat pulldown, weight-plate storage, roller J-cups, and more. They turn a rack into a whole gym.
An attachment must match your rack’s upright size (2x2, 2x3, or 3x3) and hole pattern/hardware (e.g. 5/8-in vs 1-in holes, Westside spacing). Attachments are usually series-specific — a Monster Lite J-cup won’t fit an Echo upright — so confirm the fit before buying.

Aperture Engineering’s spotter arm protectors draw consistent praise across GymRadar owners, YouTube reviewers, and the r/homegym community, with no independent complaints surfacing anywhere in the gathered coverage. Functionality is the standout dimension: the protectors slide over the exposed metal end of a spotter arm and snap into a small notch, shielding barbell knurling and stray limbs from a sharp, unprotected edge that several reviewers call an obvious factory design flaw. Build quality also earns praise – Aperture’s “TOUGH” material formulation and precise, rack-specific fitment are called out by multiple reviewers, and one Reddit thread documents Aperture proactively redesigning and reshipping a mis-fitting part after a manufacturer update, without being asked twice. Durability is the weakest dimension by default rather than by complaint – every source is an early-ownership impression, so there’s no long-term wear data yet. At $20-27 per pair (with an $8 clearance option) for a problem otherwise solved with duct tape, reviewers consistently frame it as an easy, low-cost value.
