A rack-mounted dip and pull-up attachment exclusive to Rogue’s 3x3” Monster Series racks and rigs. Built in the USA from 3x3” 7-gauge steel with welded joints, it locks into the rack’s holes via a heavy-duty retaining pin for instant setup and just as quick removal or repositioning between stations. The two 1 7/8”-diameter handles sit at a fixed angle, giving a range of grip widths from roughly 16.5” to 23.5” center-to-center, but no way to change the angle itself. Rogue lines only the front mounting face in UHMW plastic (felt on the sides), so reviewers note it can scuff the rack’s finish over time and shows some side-to-side wobble under load, especially if the rack isn’t bolted down. A separate wall-mount hanger is sold on its own for storing the unit when it’s not attached to the rack. Related but distinct variants — the cheaper Monster Lite Matador (3x3” Monster Lite uprights, no UHMW liner) and the Infinity Matador (2x3” Infinity Series racks) — share the same basic design but aren’t interchangeable with this SKU.

What is a Rack Attachment?

What rack attachments are

Rack attachments bolt or pin onto a power rack or squat stand to expand what it can do — J-cups and safety arms/straps (the essentials), plus dip bars, a landmine, a lat pulldown, weight-plate storage, roller J-cups, and more. They turn a rack into a whole gym.

Compatibility comes first

An attachment must match your rack’s upright size (2x2, 2x3, or 3x3) and hole pattern/hardware (e.g. 5/8-in vs 1-in holes, Westside spacing). Attachments are usually series-specific — a Monster Lite J-cup won’t fit an Echo upright — so confirm the fit before buying.

Rogue’s Monster Matador turns any 3x3” Monster rack into a fully adjustable dip and pull-up station, and independent reviewers consistently praise the heavy-duty steel construction while converging on the same two complaints. Build quality is the standout dimension — 7-gauge welded steel that one reviewer calls “built like a tank,” with clean welds and a simple pin system for repositioning between rack stations. Durability is the weakest dimension: Rogue only lines the front mounting face in UHMW plastic and leaves felt on the sides, so bare steel-on-steel contact scratches the rack’s finish over time, and several reviewers also note side-to-side wobble under load, especially on racks that aren’t bolted down. The handle angle is fixed rather than adjustable, which one reviewer found uncomfortable enough on the shoulders to avoid weighted dips entirely, while others found it a reasonable tradeoff for casual use.

  • +Build quality: 3x3" 7-gauge welded steel that one reviewer calls "built like a tank" with no manufacturing defects (YouTube: Hai Tran)
  • +Functionality: doubles as a sturdy pull-up bar in addition to dips (YouTube: Garage Gym Gainz)
  • +Value: pin-based mounting lets the same attachment move quickly between rack stations (Garage Gym Reviews)
  • +Versatility: angled handles offer multiple grip widths, roughly 16.5" to 23.5" center-to-center (Garage Gym Products)
  • Durability: no UHMW liner on the side mounting faces (only felt), so bare steel scuffs the rack's finish over time (Garage Gym Reviews; Garage Gym Products; YouTube: Garage Gym Gainz, Hai Tran)
  • Build quality: noticeable side-to-side wobble under load, more pronounced on racks that aren't bolted down (Garage Gym Reviews; Garage Gym Products; YouTube: Natural Hypertrophy)
  • Versatility: handle angle is fixed and forces internal shoulder rotation that one reviewer found painful enough to avoid weighted dips entirely (YouTube: Natural Hypertrophy)
  • Functionality: the retaining pin is stiff to insert and can scratch the rack's pin holes (Garage Gym Reviews; YouTube: Garage Gym Gainz)
