Band Pegs 2.0

REP’s Band Pegs 2.0 are chrome-plated solid-steel pegs that slide into a power rack’s upright holes to create accommodating-resistance attachment points for banded squats, bench press, and deadlifts, or to hang bands, chains, and other accessories for storage. They’re a redesign of REP’s original T-shaped band pegs: instead of a T-shaped head, the 2.0 has a round attachment end secured by a cotter pin for a tighter, more secure fit, and they’re sold as a pair rather than the original’s set of four. They work with REP’s PR-4000, PR-5000, Omni, and Apollo power racks, in 4000 Series (5/8” diameter) and 5000 Series (1” diameter) sizing to match the rack’s hole pattern.

Weight 4000 Series: 1.8 lbs/pair; 5000 Series: 4.6 lbs/pair
Sold as Pair
Material Solid steel, bright chrome finish
Dimensions 8.5" end to end; flat washer welded 3.375" from the bottom end, giving 4.5" of usable space
Manufacturer REP Fitness
Compatibility PR-4000, PR-5000, Omni, and Apollo power racks (4000 and 5000 Series hole patterns)
Attachment end Round, secured with a cotter pin (vs. the original design's T-shaped, pinless end)

What is a Rack Attachment?

What rack attachments are

Rack attachments bolt or pin onto a power rack or squat stand to expand what it can do — J-cups and safety arms/straps (the essentials), plus dip bars, a landmine, a lat pulldown, weight-plate storage, roller J-cups, and more. They turn a rack into a whole gym.

Compatibility comes first

An attachment must match your rack’s upright size (2x2, 2x3, or 3x3) and hole pattern/hardware (e.g. 5/8-in vs 1-in holes, Westside spacing). Attachments are usually series-specific — a Monster Lite J-cup won’t fit an Echo upright — so confirm the fit before buying.

REP’s Band Pegs 2.0 do the accommodating-resistance job cleanly: chrome-plated steel pegs that cotter-pin into any 4000/5000 Series upright and hold bands, chains, or spare accessories without slipping loose. Versatility is the standout – beyond banded squats, bench, and deadlifts, owners lean on them as everyday storage for loose gear. Durability is the thin spot: GymRadar’s independent sample is small (six reviews), and the closest hands-on review we found covers REP’s earlier T-shaped pegs rather than this cotter-pin 2.0 redesign, so long-term wear data on the redesign itself is still limited.

  • +Functionality: cotter-pin attachment holds bands securely under tension without slipping loose (REP Fitness product page; Garage Gym Reviews attachments guide)
  • +Versatility: doubles as everyday storage for bands, chains, and small accessories, not just banded lifts (REP Fitness blog)
  • +Value: sells for $23.99/pair (4000 Series) with free shipping, undercutting many rack-brand band pegs (REP Fitness product page)
  • +Build quality: solid chrome-plated steel construction sized to fit both 4000 (5/8") and 5000 (1") Series hole patterns (REP Fitness product page)
  • Durability: independent evidence is thin -- GymRadar's sample is only six reviews, and the only hands-on review found covers REP's earlier T-shaped pegs, not this cotter-pin 2.0 redesign (GymRadar; ShreddedDad)
  • Build quality: the predecessor design was dinged for "not the nicest looking welds" -- unclear whether the 2.0 redesign changed that, since no independent review has covered it directly (ShreddedDad, family-level)
  • Functionality: cotter pins can be fiddly to install and have been reported to scratch the rack's finish (REP Fitness product page, customer feedback)
  • Value: REP's own 4.9/5 rating (115 reviews) is a self-hosted number on the manufacturer's own site, not independent evidence of quality
