Dragonfly Rack Mounted Multi Flight Attachment

The Fringe Sport Dragonfly is a rack-mounted, plate-loaded lateral-raise attachment that simulates a commercial standing multiflight machine at a fraction of the price and floor space. Dual weight horns per arm let you bias the resistance curve — heaviest at the bottom, middle, or top of the movement — and the handles lock into nine positions (or swing freely via a removable detent pin) to match different arm lengths and raise angles. It mounts to any 3x3 rack with 1” or 5/8” holes using included magnetic pins, and folds flat against the upright for storage when not in use. A threaded M10x1.5 eye bolt under each arm doubles as a cable-attachment point for use with a functional trainer, and the design is geared toward standing lateral raises and rear-delt work rather than chest flies, which the loading arms aren’t built to resist.

What is a Rack Attachment?

What rack attachments are

Rack attachments bolt or pin onto a power rack or squat stand to expand what it can do — J-cups and safety arms/straps (the essentials), plus dip bars, a landmine, a lat pulldown, weight-plate storage, roller J-cups, and more. They turn a rack into a whole gym.

Compatibility comes first

An attachment must match your rack’s upright size (2x2, 2x3, or 3x3) and hole pattern/hardware (e.g. 5/8-in vs 1-in holes, Westside spacing). Attachments are usually series-specific — a Monster Lite J-cup won’t fit an Echo upright — so confirm the fit before buying.

The Dragonfly earns its praise as one of the better values in home-gym isolation training — a plate-loaded rack attachment that mimics a commercial multiflight machine’s adjustable resistance curve for a fraction of the price and floor space. Functionality is the standout: nine lockable handle positions and dual weight horns let you dial in exactly where the tension hits during a lateral raise. Versatility is the weak point — despite marketing claims, reviewers found rear-delt and chest-fly movements cramped with the stock arm length, so it functions as a dedicated lateral-raise tool rather than a true multiflight substitute. Build quality is solid but not premium, with one reviewer noting a collar that needed occasional re-tightening and rack tubing that isn’t universally snug.

  • +Functionality: adjustable dual weight-horn resistance curve lets you bias tension to the start, middle, or top of the lateral raise (TheJungleGymReviews)
  • +Value: delivers a machine-like standing lateral-raise experience at $349, versus commercial multiflight machines costing 3-5x more (TheJungleGymReviews)
  • +Functionality: nine lockable handle positions plus a free-swinging detent option accommodate different arm lengths and movement paths (TheJungleGymReviews)
  • +Versatility: a built-in eye bolt doubles as a cable-attachment point, letting owners rig it to a functional trainer for other movements (Hybrid Resistance)
  • +Build quality: folds flat, locks in place, and includes a comfortable rotating knurled handle (Fringe Sport; TheJungleGymReviews)
  • Versatility: chest flies and rear-delt flies feel cramped and impractical with the stock arm length; both reviewers found it works well mainly for standing lateral raises (TheJungleGymReviews; Hybrid Resistance)
  • Durability: one reviewer's collar bolt loosened over weeks of use and needed occasional re-tightening, with slight flex under load (Hybrid Resistance)
  • Build quality: imported construction with welds and powder coat described as "just okay," not premium (TheJungleGymReviews)
  • Functionality: needs roughly 29 inches of side clearance during use, which can crowd a rack in tighter setups (TheJungleGymReviews)
  • Build quality: fit is snug on true 3x3 uprights (e.g. Rogue) but may need shims on slightly undersized 2.95"x2.95" rack tubing (Hybrid Resistance)
