Ghost Strong
Ghost Roller J-Cup
The Difference Striking Pad is a Monster-rack attachment purpose-built for football hand-strike and reflex training, not general strength work. First developed in the Ohio State weight room and now used across hundreds of high school, college, and pro facilities, it mounts to any 3x3” Monster rack (1” detent pin included) and swings a spring-loaded, foam-and-vinyl pad back at the athlete on every strike, rewarding proper hand placement and explosive technique. Four interchangeable, color-coded springs — Green (15-35 lbs) through Black (105-150 lbs) — scale resistance from youth technique work up to college/pro-level power. Construction is 0.1875” A36 powder-coated steel with an electroless nickel-plated inner tube for smooth, consistent action, and the whole unit is made in the USA. It’s a specialized tool: reviewers are consistent that outside a dedicated football program, the $995 price is a hard sell for a general home gym.

Rack attachments bolt or pin onto a power rack or squat stand to expand what it can do — J-cups and safety arms/straps (the essentials), plus dip bars, a landmine, a lat pulldown, weight-plate storage, roller J-cups, and more. They turn a rack into a whole gym.
An attachment must match your rack’s upright size (2x2, 2x3, or 3x3) and hole pattern/hardware (e.g. 5/8-in vs 1-in holes, Westside spacing). Attachments are usually series-specific — a Monster Lite J-cup won’t fit an Echo upright — so confirm the fit before buying.

A football-specific hand-strike trainer, not a general home-gym attachment — GymRadar’s four owner reviews (3.83/5) consistently make that same point. Its standout dimension is build quality (4.75/5): 0.1875” A36 powder-coated steel with a nickel-plated inner tube that reviewers who’ve handled it at Rogue’s Columbus HQ call “built like a tank.” The weak spot is versatility — reviewers repeatedly say a football-playing kid is “the only home gym use case” they can picture, and value scores lowest of the four dimensions (3.25/5) at the $995 asking price. Rogue’s own on-site rating (5.0 from 2 reviews) reads as a manufacturer claim rather than independent consensus.
