Ghost Strong’s Combo Rack HD is a made-in-USA, meet-grade squat/bench combination rack built for competitive powerlifters, gym owners, and meet directors rather than casual home-gym buyers. It’s built on 3x3” uprights with 3/16” wall tubing and hole positions that exactly match ER Equipment’s combo racks, so lifters and meet directors already familiar with ER heights carry that knowledge over directly. The whole rack – assembly, squat/bench conversion, and disassembly – is tool-less, using a patent-pending joint/cam design in place of the old slip-collar system, and patent-pending return rollers on all four rack points auto-position the barbell at the front of the j-cups, tested holding 700+ lbs. A lever-arm mechanism raises and lowers the uprights even under a fully loaded bar, cedar lining inside the uprights keeps pin adjustment smooth, and the bench itself sits on wheels and rolls out the front or back with a dual-stage pad over a gripper vinyl cover and a UHMW plastic base. It’s heavy at 575 lbs, extensively customizable (color schemes, laser-cut logos, a fusion flat/incline bench upgrade, stainless steel uprights), and priced accordingly – reviewers are unanimous that it’s one of the best-built combo racks available, but call out the powder-coat finish scratching at metal-on-metal contact points during regular use and note the lever arm can wobble under maximum squat loads.
