The HG 3.0 Collars - Magnetic are Rogue’s latest lock-on barbell collar, building on the earlier HG and HG 2.0 generations with a redesigned magnet layout: eight N52 magnets embedded into the sides of each collar, fully recessed to avoid metal-on-metal contact. That lets the collars stick to any steel rack, rig, or upright for storage instead of sitting on the floor. Each collar uses the HG line’s proven spring-loaded locking tab – a patented clamp mechanism that keeps the collar seated through repeated bar drops without being any harder to attach or remove than a basic spring clip – paired with a rubberized interior pad for grip on the bar sleeve and stainless steel hardware to resist corrosion. Earlier HG generations have a strong independent track record for durability and holding power under heavy daily use; the 3.0’s side-magnet redesign hasn’t yet accumulated independent long-term reviews of its own, but it carries forward the same nylon resin body and locking mechanism that generation was built on.
