Ghost Roller J-Cup
REP’s Belt Squat is a rack attachment, not a standalone machine – it bolts onto the lower cross-members of a PR-4000 or PR-5000 V2 power rack (not the Apollo rack) and routes a cable through the rack’s Lat Pulldown/Low Row or Ares attachment to create a 1:1-ratio, plate-loaded belt squat station. Built from 11-gauge steel with a matte black powder coat, aluminum pulleys, and a plastic-coated wire-rope cable, it’s rated to 600lb, weighs 41lb, and measures 25.3”D x 41.3”W x 8.1”H. It locks into the rack with quick-release pins and takes about 3 minutes to install.
Beyond belt squats, reviewers use the same cable and pulley system for weighted pull-ups and dips, calf raises, marches, split squats, and rack pulls – REP added the pull-up/dip use case explicitly. The tradeoff for the compact, rack-integrated design is that reps start loaded from the floor rather than the top, and the front pulley post can lift off the ground under heavy load, both of which limit how deep and how heavy a dedicated belt squat can go compared to a standalone unit like the Rogue Rhino. It requires already owning a compatible rack and lat attachment, so it can’t be bought or used on its own.

Rack attachments bolt or pin onto a power rack or squat stand to expand what it can do — J-cups and safety arms/straps (the essentials), plus dip bars, a landmine, a lat pulldown, weight-plate storage, roller J-cups, and more. They turn a rack into a whole gym.
An attachment must match your rack’s upright size (2x2, 2x3, or 3x3) and hole pattern/hardware (e.g. 5/8-in vs 1-in holes, Westside spacing). Attachments are usually series-specific — a Monster Lite J-cup won’t fit an Echo upright — so confirm the fit before buying.

REP’s Belt Squat turns an existing PR-4000/PR-5000 rack and lat-pulldown attachment into a plate-loaded cable station, and reviewers rate it highest for versatility – swapping between belt squats, weighted pull-ups and dips, calf raises, marches, and rack pulls off the same $279-$310 add-on. Functionality is the standout weakness: it starts loaded from the floor rather than the top of the rep, so most owners end up rigging a DIY chain-and-strap workaround, and the front pulley post lifts off the ground under load, capping squat depth. Independent verdicts split hard on whether that tradeoff is worth it – Garage-Gyms.com scored it 8.9/10 and praised its build quality and value, while a longer-term Twisted Barbell review says it collects dust between uses and isn’t worth the ~4-minute install/uninstall each session – a split echoed by REP’s own on-site rating of just 2.27/5 across 5 reviews.
