The REP x Kleva Built Tricep Pushdown Attachment is a lightweight (2.2 lb) V-bar cable attachment co-developed by REP Fitness and Kleva Built for tricep pushdowns, overhead extensions, and cable curls on commercial and home cable towers. Its angled aluminum handles ship with a choice of two knurling patterns – a medium-depth “Colorado” volcano style or an aggressive “Double Black Diamond” mountain style – and are indexed so they don’t spin during use. A swivel attachment point at the top lets the wrist move naturally through the pushdown motion, and the stainless-steel flange and premium hardware are built to outlast the aluminum handles. Per Kleva Built’s own comparison, the REP-manufactured version uses brackets roughly twice as thick as the original Kleva Atlas design and held up to about four times the stress in fatigue testing before deforming. It carries a 3-year warranty for home use (1 year commercial).

What is a Cable Attachment?

What cable attachments are

Cable attachments are the handles and bars that clip to a cable machine, functional trainer, or lat/row station to change the exercise — lat bars, triceps ropes, single-D handles, row/close-grip handles, ankle straps, and more. A small set of them turns one cable stack into dozens of movements.

What to look for

A rotating swivel or ball-bearing joint keeps the cable from twisting and lets the handle track your arm; comfortable, durable grips (knurled metal, rubber, or coated nylon) survive heavy use; and a standard carabiner or snap fits most machines. Match the attachment to the exercises you actually train rather than buying a giant kit you won’t use.

The REP x Kleva Built Tricep Pushdown Attachment is a lightweight aluminum V-bar built for cable pushdowns, overhead extensions, and curls, sold with a choice of medium (Colorado) or aggressive (Double Black Diamond) knurling. Build quality is the standout: indexed handles that don’t spin, a smooth swivel attachment point, a stainless-steel flange, and – per Kleva Built’s own comparison – brackets twice as thick as the original Kleva Atlas version, rated to handle roughly four times the stress before deformation. Versatility is the weakest dimension: at just under 2.2 lb it excels at what it’s designed for, but unlike the wider close-grip and landmine attachments in the same Kleva lineup, it’s a single-purpose tricep piece, and at least one independent reviewer (Garage Gym Reviews) rates rival V-bars from JD Jim Equipped and American Barbell above it even while calling this “one of the better V’s.”

  • +Build quality: indexed handles that don't rotate, a smooth top swivel, and a stainless-steel flange with premium hardware (YouTube: Gym Crafter)
  • +Durability: Kleva Built's own fatigue testing has the REP-manufactured brackets (6mm / roughly double the original 3/16" thickness) withstanding about four times the stress before deformation versus the original Kleva Atlas version (YouTube: Gym Crafter)
  • +Functionality: aluminum construction keeps it near-weightless on the cable stack (about 2 lb) so adjusting weight doesn't risk the attachment falling and striking the user, unlike many steel V-bars (YouTube: Garage Gym Reviews)
  • +Value: comparable in feel and use to the well-known American Barbell V-bar at a lower price, especially when bought in REP's attachment bundle (YouTube: Gym Crafter)
  • +Build quality: choice of medium (Colorado) or aggressive (Double Black Diamond) knurling, with reviewers finding the medium option grippy enough for high-rep cable work without tearing up hands (YouTube: Gym Crafter)
  • Versatility: single-purpose tricep V-bar -- unlike the close-grip and multi-grip landmine attachments in the same Kleva lineup, it doesn't double as a lat-pulldown or row handle (YouTube: Garage Gym Reviews)
  • Functionality: at least one independent reviewer rates rival tricep attachments (JD Jim Equipped, American Barbell) above it, calling this "one of the better V's" but not the best on the market (YouTube: Garage Gym Reviews)
  • Build quality: attachments ship with printed stickers rather than laser-cut branding, which one reviewer felt undercut the otherwise premium finish (YouTube: Garage Gym Reviews)
  • Durability: no independent long-term wear data beyond first-impressions/unboxing coverage -- all three video sources are initial-use reviews, not extended-use follow-ups
