Rotating V-Grip Cable Attachment

The Rogue Rotating V-Grip Cable Attachment takes the standard V-handle and adds a full 360-degree swivel built on bronze bushings, so the wrists can track naturally through tricep pushdowns, cable curls, lat pulldowns, and low rows instead of locking into a fixed angle. The handles are Rogue’s anodized aluminum 32MM H-5 grips with flanged rests, mounted to a 3/8” thick stainless steel clevis plate backed by 1/4” and 5/16” thick steel side plates for rigidity under load. Its low-profile clevis plate works for both high and low pulley mounting, and at 3.5 lb it’s compact enough to travel in a gym bag. It’s available in seven handle colors, with an optional $10 conversion kit for a 70-degree handle angle, and is Made in the USA under a patent-pending design.

What is a Cable Attachment?

What cable attachments are

Cable attachments are the handles and bars that clip to a cable machine, functional trainer, or lat/row station to change the exercise — lat bars, triceps ropes, single-D handles, row/close-grip handles, ankle straps, and more. A small set of them turns one cable stack into dozens of movements.

What to look for

A rotating swivel or ball-bearing joint keeps the cable from twisting and lets the handle track your arm; comfortable, durable grips (knurled metal, rubber, or coated nylon) survive heavy use; and a standard carabiner or snap fits most machines. Match the attachment to the exercises you actually train rather than buying a giant kit you won’t use.

Rogue’s Rotating V-Grip earns unusually consistent praise across every independent source gathered – GymRadar owners, an expert reviewer, and three separate YouTube testers all landed on the same conclusion without referencing each other. Functionality is the standout dimension: the bronze-bushing 360-degree swivel lets the wrists track naturally through tricep pushdowns, lat pulldowns, seated rows, and cable curls, and more than one reviewer specifically credits the rotation for noticeably different muscle engagement compared to a fixed V-bar or rope. Build quality is similarly strong, with reviewers highlighting the anodized aluminum handles, clean knurling, and a smooth, quiet bearing action. Versatility is the weakest dimension by comparison – it’s a poor fit for upright rows given the fixed handle width, underhand pressdowns feel slightly awkward despite the rotation, and unlike pricier rotating competitors it has no option to lock the swivel and use it as a static V-bar. At $95 it’s widely called a “no-brainer” value for a single attachment that competently covers this many movements.

  • +Functionality: bronze-bushing 360-degree swivel lets wrists rotate naturally through pushdowns and extensions, removing wrist/elbow discomfort reviewers get from a fixed V-bar (LiftLab Reviews; YouTube: Nick Bardsley)
  • +Functionality: reviewers report a distinctly different, more targeted muscle engagement (forearms/triceps) from the rotation versus rope or strap attachments they normally use (YouTube: Carp's Gym)
  • +Build quality: anodized aluminum 32MM handles with clean knurling and a smooth, quiet rotation mechanism -- reviewers call the fit and finish "super high quality" (LiftLab Reviews; YouTube: HypertroFit)
  • +Versatility: handles tricep pushdowns, lat pulldowns, seated rows, straight-arm pulldowns, and cable curls competently, with straight-arm pulldowns and pushdowns singled out as standout movements (LiftLab Reviews; YouTube: Nick Bardsley)
  • +Value: at $95 with 3.5 lb construction and a 3/8" stainless clevis plate, reviewers call it an easy, low-cost win versus rotating competitors like the 461/Grip-X that run more than double the price (YouTube: HypertroFit)
  • Versatility: cramped grip width makes it a poor choice for upright rows -- multiple sources note it's not ideal for that movement specifically (LiftLab Reviews)
  • Functionality: underhand pressdowns feel slightly awkward despite the rotating feature, and reverse curls are functional but not a strong fit (LiftLab Reviews)
  • Versatility: unlike some pricier rotating competitors (e.g. the 461/Grip-X), the swivel can't be locked to use it as a fixed, static V-bar (YouTube: HypertroFit)
  • Durability: all gathered reviews are early-ownership impressions from the attachment's 2026 launch window -- no long-term wear data yet (across gathered sources)
