Titan’s TwistLock Barbell Collars are the molded, budget tier of the brand’s patented twist-and-lock collar — an ergonomically contoured shell in high-impact ABS, polymer, and neoprene laminate that slides onto an Olympic bar and locks with a simple quarter-turn instead of a squeeze clamp or lever flip. Built-in neodymium magnets let a pair stick to a power rack for storage between sets. Titan also sells a knurled aluminum “Pro” version of the same mechanism (see TwistLock Pro Barbell Collars) at a roughly $20 premium.

Reviewers who tested both Titan versions side by side consistently prefer the aluminum Pro’s feel — the molded shell is described as “cheap” and noticeably more slippery to grip — but the mechanism itself performs comparably: one YouTube drop test had the molded collar holding roughly 115 lb, edging out the aluminum version in that same informal test. Five GymRadar owners average 4.33/5, with build quality (4.60/5) rated above performance and value (4.20/5 each); the main recurring complaints are magnets that feel weak for rack storage and occasional slow engagement before the collar fully “bites.” It’s built for standard 50mm Olympic bars only — it won’t fit 48mm axle sleeves, specialty bars, or plate-loaded machines — and a barbell with a rotating sleeve can spin along with the collar while twisting, requiring a second hand to hold it steady.
