This design introduced a lasting feature—the calibration lead pockets. Always focused on function, Jackson created an efficient way to calibrate his plates by pouring lead to achieve the desired weight. The smaller plates adopted round edges and larger fonts, while maintaining the thoughtful Jackson craftsmanship.
