Monster Lite Competition Bench

Rogue’s Monster Lite Competition Bench is a patented, stand-alone bench press station equipped with a pair of 3x3” 11-gauge steel uprights and a set of ML J-Cups for built-in rackability with any standard barbell. At a height of 57.75” and compact footprint of 53.5” x 49.5”, this American-made bench is suited to any type of training space. The uprights feature the same Westside hole spacing and laser-cut numbering as their full-size rig/rack counterparts, allowing for an assortment of add-ons and customization options. We’ve also designed these uprights with holes along the sides (6” on-center), Rogue-branded plastic caps on top, and a set of stabilizing base tubes with rubber feet to help fortify the structure and prevent any movement or imbalance as you train. The rubber pad on the front foot serves the same purpose.

What a weight bench is

A weight bench is the platform for pressing, supported rows, and seated accessory work — the second-most-used piece in most gyms after the rack. Broadly there are two kinds: flat benches (fixed and ultra-stable) and adjustable/FID benches (the back and seat pivot through flat, incline, and decline angles for versatility).

Which to choose

Buy a flat bench if you mostly bench and want maximum stability for the least money; buy an adjustable if you want one bench to cover incline presses, shoulder work, and more. Either way, prioritize a high weight rating, thick steel, and a firm, grippy pad.
