The Rogue Adjustable Monolift is a rack-mounted attachment that lets a lifter unrack and re-rack a barbell in place, eliminating the walk-out on squats and the lift-off on bench press. Version 1.0 – the original design, since superseded by Rogue’s AM-2 Adjustable Monolift 2.0 – mounts exclusively to Rogue’s 3x3” Monster series rigs and racks via a pair of 1” hitch pins, and adjusts in 1” height increments.
Each pair of 0.75”-thick steel jaw hooks carries counterweight handles: lift the bar off and the hooks swing back several inches toward the rack, clearing space for the rest of the set and lining up at a slanted angle for easy re-racking. UHMW plastic liners run along the hooks, clasps, and back of the unit to protect the barbell finish, and a “backstop” bolt above each primary hook bolt keeps the unit from moving further away from the rack while a lifter sets up. Owners and reviewers consistently praise how much easier it makes training solo, especially heavy bench work. The tradeoffs, per independent reviewers, are mostly ergonomic: it’s bulkier to store than the 2.0 (it doesn’t stand on its own once removed), extends roughly 16-17” off the rack into the working area, and has no UHMW protection at the rack-mounting point itself – steel sits directly on steel there, unlike the redesigned 2.0.

Rack attachments bolt or pin onto a power rack or squat stand to expand what it can do — J-cups and safety arms/straps (the essentials), plus dip bars, a landmine, a lat pulldown, weight-plate storage, roller J-cups, and more. They turn a rack into a whole gym.
An attachment must match your rack’s upright size (2x2, 2x3, or 3x3) and hole pattern/hardware (e.g. 5/8-in vs 1-in holes, Westside spacing). Attachments are usually series-specific — a Monster Lite J-cup won’t fit an Echo upright — so confirm the fit before buying.

The original Rogue Adjustable Monolift does exactly what it promises — swing-back hooks that eliminate the walk-out on heavy squats and the lift-off on bench — and owners consistently praise how much more confident it makes moving up in weight solo. Build quality is the standout: 0.75” steel jaws, UHMW liners, and a 1,000+ lb tested rating hold up to years of use with only cosmetic wear (stickers rather than laser etching). Versatility is its weakest dimension as a now-superseded SKU: it’s bulkier to store, sticks roughly 16-17” off the rack with no standalone-storage design, adjusts in coarser motions than Rogue’s Adjustable Monolift 2.0, and lacks UHMW protection at the rack-mounting point, so buyers who don’t already own one are generally steered toward the newer version.
